Youth Employability Tutor
Location – Coventry
Salary: £26,000 (Sessional, ongoing contract with potential extension)
Contract Type: Ongoing Sessional – 5 weeks Guaranteed
 
About the Role
Trigon Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a leading National Training Provider, rated Good by Ofsted (Grade 2). We are seeking a passionate and motivated Youth Employability Tutor to support young people across Greater Manchester.
In this rewarding role, you will empower young learners to build their confidence, develop essential employability skills, and take positive steps toward education, training, or sustainable employment. This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong people skills, a flair for youth engagement, and a genuine commitment to helping young people succeed.
Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging non-accredited employability training sessions tailored specifically for young people aged 16-24.
  • Support learners with CV writing, job applications, interview preparation, and workplace expectations.
  • Provide basic digital support where needed, such as setting up email accounts and navigating online job platforms.
  • Deliver both group workshops and tailored 1:1 mentoring to meet individual learner needs.
  • Motivate and inspire young people who may face barriers to education or employment.
  • Set clear, achievable targets and track learner progress using the company database.
  • Actively support learners in applying for jobs, apprenticeships, or further training opportunities.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience working with young people, ideally within employability, youth work, education, or mentoring.
  • Strong understanding of job search strategies, CV writing, and interview preparation.
  • Ability to engage and motivate young people with varying ability levels and backgrounds.
  • Confident delivering both group workshops and 1:1 coaching sessions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Organised, target-driven, and able to manage learner progression effectively.
  • A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their goals and move into positive destinations.
  • Commitment to being available for the duration of the contract.
